I had the dealer remove the AI before it was ever cranked up - hence no blue pipes (this picture was taken at about 1100 miles). Running 120 mains with no snorkle. This week I put in the Polaris Bellmouth, Unifilter and Iridium plugs - made a real difference!

I also went back to the stock 18 tooth from the 19 tooth I purchased with the bike. I like the 18 a lot better - so much better that I will probably take Sweats advice and try a 17.

Mikey - love your touring edition. I would like to do the same myself for extended trips with the wife. Is that the High Sissy bar? What kind of seat you got there and is it comfortable for 2 up riding? What kind of bags are those and how do they mount?
Thx - John

It is the high sissy bar. The seat is the Gel Thruxton seat - I really like it, my wife has no complaints but to be honest she only rides for 1/2 to 1 hour trips.

The bags are by Leatherlyke: http://www.leatherlyke.com/

They require the sissy bar or grab rail as they use the bolts that those accesories come with. When the bags are off (there are 2 clips per bag that attaches to posts inside the bag) all that is left is the black bar between the mounting bolts and the posts themselves. It only takes 5-10 seconds per bag to get them off - you do have to unlock the bag first. I got the contemporary bags and in my opinion they fit in perfect with the classic style of the bike. They are rated for 20lbs each. I have only been in some moderate rain showers since I have had the bike, but they have been 100% waterproof in those cases. You can select bags and mounts that are specifically for a Bonneville!

By the way, I have since also added the Reno tail bag by T-Bags: http://www.t-bags.com/Detail.aspx?ID=82&selectedcat=9
Fit is perfect (really perfect) for the high sissy bar.

Glad I could help. Two things - actually I believe the seat is the Gel Contemporary - it is the same shape as the Thruxton seat with a wee bit of gel in it.

Also, I forgot to mention that the LeatherLykes also have a helmet lock on each bag. They are not secure enough to foil a determined thief, but what is?

How comfy is that seat? I love the looks of it and want something more comfy than stock!
