I bought my Thrux with BC Preds, Air box gone, with 150 jets which are way too big. Anyway, I popped off my air filters for the first time since owning the bike to pull the carbs to replace the jets and I noticed the pilot air passages (at least that what I think they are, they are right on the lip where the air filter slips on). were appoxied (glued) shut??? ***....Has anyone every heard of this?

On the 03's, the tubes for the pilot jets are plugged with a thin aluminum disk. Is that what you're seeing? If so, you'll need to drill a small hole into the disk, run a screw in, and then gently pull the plug out.

I will post pics soon.

Not an aluminum disk, but rather glue. The dealer said this passage way is called a pilot air passage. I really think someone tried to glue the filters on the carbs and the residual ran down and accumulated at the bottom sealing off this air passage. I just want to make sure this isn't supposed to be sealed off with AI/airbox gone and bike jetted.

Stole this pic, (they look clear of any glue) but I don't remember seeing anything of the sort on my set either.
