I see from a lot of the pics on the Site that your seats have the recessed Triumph logo painted ? some white & some gold ?? Are you lads Stateside doing these yourself or are they coming painted ??

If you're painting them up, what paint are you using ?

I painted my seat emblem and also the handlebar pad in gold leaf paint by elmers. Its 3- and a steady hand and plenty of cussing and patience gets it done well.

Get the fine/ultra fine pen and you should be ok. i think many others have done it themselves. it only take about 15-20min once you get going.

I used "Elmer's Painters" paint pens for my seat (same people as makes the glue). About $7 each at your local craft store. Use the fine tip for the interior of the lettering and the ultra fine tip for the outline. Caution: When they say "Permanent", they mean it!

I wanted my seat to match the other colors of my bike, so I filled in the letters with red to match the stripes, then outlined them with metallic silver to match the coach lines. It looks awesome! I got comments the first day after I did it. It's probably the biggest return in improved looks for the smallest investment in money and effort you will ever find.

Cheers all, I can't seem to find Penol (almost rude !?) although we have Pental, which looks a similar logo or Elmers in the Uk, but I have found some similar 'Paint Pens' which are waterproof/permanent.

Burnt Orange lined with silver sounds a good option if I can track down those colour ways ( sorry ! color ways :wink )
Would be happy enough to go with 'white' if I can't track them down, or even go mail order for some from the States.

Riron2001 - if you go back to earlier pages [search function?], you'll see many variations of logo painting.

I still need one more go-over on the lettering. Silver to go with my BBlack and the gray (sorry "grey" ) and black sixty8 seat. Hands shake too much (***** tequila) to try outlining in a different color, but white would be cool. Have the Mono Union Jack tank cover enroute - I know that those are frowned on but I think it will look cool.
