Please provide a loudness scale on aftermarket pipes. If the stock silencers are a 1 how do the rest rate in loudness with the loudest pipes being a ten. TOR's, D&Ds, Predator's, NH etc.

Obviously, this is subjective, but here's my scale.

Stock - 1
TOR - 3
Staintune - 4
TBike - 6
Hyde - 7
Shark - 7
EPCO - 7.5
Sprint/BC Teardrop/Emgo - 8.5
D&D - 10
Raask - 10
BUB - 10

Don't hold me to it but that's my opinion right now. BTW, I run D&D's on my bike (and have done so since early 2003) and wouldn't change them for any other pipe available for these bikes at the moment.

Brent you missed the preditors, I think the D&D's are louder, road with someone with bubs, D&D's sound better.

Geez I really like my D&D's

Something else to note...the airbox muffles things a bit, also. With everything else being equal, a given bike with the stock airbox will be a little quieter. IOW, a bike that sports a NARK and Bubs will likely set off car alarms. However, BC Teardrops with a stock airbox are okay on a social scale...

Brent you missed the preditors,
I can't comment on these. I've never heard them in person. From what I've read, they're close to the volume of the D&D's.

I have Predators which are ace. These replaced TORS. My chum has D&D's. D&D's will make your ears bleed!!!

If Stock is 1

TORS is 4

Predators is 8

D&D's is 10

Predators are superbly made, don't need repacking, and no welds on show anywhere. D&D's not so good IMO with bolted on alloy end caps.
