My D&D's sound perfect 10. They are the envy of my motorcycle club, not too loud or soft, and give my T-100 some ass-kickin' umph.

Definitely a worthwhile investment!

Agree with Sprint a 8.5, based on sound bytes, etc.

Great mufflers. . .wonderful, authentic sound and excellent quality.

I have Specialty Spares TT pipes. I have a 125 DB horn and can barely hear it above the pipes, so I'd call them a 10.

D&D - 10

BUB - 10

Don't hold me to it but that's my opinion right now. BTW, I run D&D's on my bike (and have done so since early 2003) and wouldn't change them for any other pipe available for these bikes at the moment.

I don't know how to rate others but the Predators that are on my bike set-off every car alarm in my parking garage when I start my bike! Pretty funny because after it settles down and I am idling and the cars have shut-up I can buzz the horn and it will make the cars chirp as well!

Great feedback. THanks everyone. I think this gives a great idea for new people who are not sure how loud they want to go.

ME TOO! They are great. I packed mine with some super German packing and they are loud with a very nice deep tone.

txpete,

I agree with you about the loudness of the SS peashooter system. I had that system on my bike a couple of years ago, and I have never heard one close to that loud--it reminded me of my ol' BSA Hornet with straight pipes. I have heard Bubs that were much quieter than the SS peashooter system as well as my son's V-Star 1100 custom with straight pipes.

The Predators I have heard sound about the same as NH Togas to me. The Raask system I have heard sounds close to the Togas and Predators--quieter at some rpms and a little louder at others...could be due to the headers w/o a crossover. The only D&D's I have heard were loud but too high pitched for my tastes. I would definitely not rate them a 10 for loudness though. From what I have read, D&D's can vary a lot from one system to another and will vary with age more than some others.
