OK, so i am officially hooked for life! I took my bonnie for its first real (by myself) ride yesterday. It was only a 45 minute ride but it felt like hours. I am a new rider and only prior riding was at MSF course. But it was just so much fun and nothing else mattered while i was riding... I know it sounds all movie like but i was in my own world and i now understand how people get into this so much. Before I would just sit and look at my bike while in the garage enjoying a six pack (waiting for license)... and that would make me happy. But now all i can think about is when is the next time i will have a free couple of hours to ride. :-D

....a.....& don't go jumping on any mates Sports Bikes with all the extra power & speed or the 'worm' will start eating into your head about the benefits of raw speed over style & classicism.

It may then take ages for the worm to wither & for sense to return.

I still enjoy sitting in the garage on a rainy day w/ a 6 pak looking @ the Bonne. I always find a new piece of dirt to remove or something to shine. I also keep a pic(8x10) on the coffee table for when I cant get to the garage! You never get tired of looking @ a work of art!!

LOL

I never have that problem, but one of the guys I went for a ride with the other day asked if we could trade bikes for a few miles so he could see if the Thruxton was "a real bike"

He gave me the keys to his Suzuki Boulevard. Off we go. 5 miles down the road, I am tired of driving the couch on two wheels. I pull up next to him and motion him to pull over, off he goes, acting like he never saw me. This was our routine for the next 30 minutes. Me trying to get him to pull over, him, big stupid grin, pretending to be blind and mute.

When we did stop for a break, it was all I could do to pry his hands off of the bars. His wife is not pleased with me.

He could not find enough good to say about how fun, how smooth and how amazing he thought the Triumph was.
