I've got Bella Corse Western bars and Beston Gran Turismo grips. Norman Hyde also makes a "Western Bar" but that bar requires new cables and brake line.

Does anyone know what makes western bars, well, so "western"? Is that "western" as in "country & western" (we got both kinds of music) or as in "western hemisphere"?

Are they closer to you? I cannot find specs for the stock bars. I want bars that are closer to me and a little wider, think just a riser will for me, if I just want them closer?

In the old Meridian days eastern and western U S Triumphs were slightly different and the bars were one of the differences, western bars were higher and wider, hence western bars.

Rotate your stockers down a bit. Cheap and easy.

Thoes Norman Hydes bars look great, I purchased the Western Bars , they are ok but looking at your Norman Hydes I think I would have preferred them.
What did they cost, where did you get them and did you have to change any cables
They look much wider which I would like.

Thanks, I got them from New Bonneville. All the control cables & front brake line do indeed have to be changed out. They sell them as a package as well.

The width was the main thing which attracted me, they do have more pullback & rise than the stock bars as well. I find them much more comfortable & I like the look.
