Buy the handlebar cross pipe (no pad needed) and buy a bicycle seat bag or similar type 6'' x 6'' or so nylon bag w/ loops, slide the loops on to the pipe and fold it over and you're good to go. i can carry a wallet, loose change, paperwork, and small toolkit/allen wrench's etc.
doesnt obstruct the speedo or the view.
