Any suggestions on after market seats for longer rides? Anyone put a saddle type seat on their bike? I have seen one that looked good on the bellacorse site, a bopper they made.

I suffered through the OEM brick until this year. I tried sending it off to Sargent Cycle in Florida for a super cell refoam, but that only increased the time I could ride without pain from 45 minutes to 60. I tried letting the seat "break in," but at 7K, I decided it wasn't going to break in any further. Early this spring I order a Triumph solo seat from MADSS and I've put more mileage on this year so far than all of last year. I think the solo is probably the most comfortable seat you can get for the Bonnie. I can go all day without discomfort. If you want to see how it looks on a 2006 T100, here:

Both of the aforementioned seats are MUCH more comfortable than the stocker. Ya just gotta get by the looks.

I went to Corbin in Hollister Ca. I have always found that their foam was quite good and I could ride all day without complaint. I have liked to go in person because i have them shape the seat exactly the way I want it.
I also have to admit that recently Corbin has not been the type of company they were in the past. They have lost their customer service mentality. Going there in person and watching what they are doing helps insure you are getting the exact seat you want.

I went from the bench seat board to a Corbin. I can ride all day and my old butt is well satisfied.

I have a Corbin also. I`ve put about 1500 miles on it so far and it is still uncomfortable and hard as a rock. It is very supportive but my butt bones still feel the pan through the 3/4" of foam that the seat is covered with. Figured if its gonna be a hard seat anyway, then I might as well make a cooler one to suffer on.

What are you using to make your seat, rodburner? Is it totaly custom or some seat you are fitting to the bike. I am interested in doing this myself. thanks.

First would try a sheepskin from Alaska Leather

Was a big help on my stocker.

Got a good deal on a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady from this site. Excellent seat. Can ride all day w/o any discomfort, in my butt and lower back at least. Still use the sheepskin to keep the rear cool. Must have in Florida heat

I put the "68" scrambler seat with rack on my bonnie. At just over 2000 miles it's great. At 175 miles per day still good to go. Longest ride so far this season but it seems fine.
