Could you give a tiny bit more detail of your problem?

You got the main tap and the reserve tap if I am correct. So how is they actually work? the one I have with the reserve pipe is either on or off and other one is on or off no pipe. I am unsure of how it is supposed to go. thanks for yuor help!

You must be referring to your 1968 model, you have posted in a part of the "new" Triumph forums. If I am correct about which bike you have asked about:
The reserve petcock has a two openings inside the tank, one has a tall tube on it and is for regular riding, when you run out of gas, you can change it to reserve which is at the bottom, to help you make it to the gas station. The other tap has only off and on, this helps to be on when you are full throttle (highway riding) but may not make a difference. It does help, however when you want to get that last bit of gas out of that side of the tank.
Hope this helped?
-Ben
