Ok..I put the LED indicator lights in the dash of my Speedy....just great... nice and bright. So now I purchased the replacement turn signal bulbs for the winkies in the LED style..kool bulbs. The turn signals work just great, now the LED indicator bulb for the turn signals in the dash is so dim you can't see it hardley at all. Does anyone no of the remedy for this....Please let me know...I have the correct flasher for the LED's....JT.

Try reversing it. LED's are polorized, (and in fact are diodes) but these are multiple LED's wired in such a way that they will work either way. And i'm not sure why, but that could possibly do it.

Thanks Daz , but thats the first thing I thought of, the light blinks, but is very, very dim. Its like it needs a power boost or something. The turn signals themselves are fine, they work well. I'll just have to research more and sort it out..JT.

There may be a resistor on it somewhere, I'm not sure what you're dealing with though.

You might have to add a load equalizer if you've gone with LEDs in both locations.

It goes into the turn signal cable path to add the necessary resistance for the flasher unit. I haven't gotten there yet on my bike but you'll find it either has to be wired in line with the signals or it might already come with the proper connector to just snap in. I'm betting it locates near the flasher unit on the frame.

Thanks oldroadie , I'll go from there and see what happens....JT. BTW I do have small chrome bullet winkies, and they look sweet with the LED's...C'ya.

Looks like I'll have to go with two 3 ohm equilizers in the turn signal circuit...now I'll have to find them somewhere..JT.
