POPPE Member Super Sidecars Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Wheatfield IN Posts: 76	When looking at the numbers stamped on the tire 170/60 r 18 73 h "example",what does the 60 stand for.The book I have in front of me says it's height/tread ratio=60%.***?

PfM Senior Member Powerbike Favorite Bike: 1961 Triumph Thunderbird Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Brisbane Posts: 348 Other Motorcycle: 1959 Triumph Tiger 110 Extra Motorcycle: 2006 Scrambler	correct The height is 60% of the width (I think) So if it is a 170 tyre, the height should be 102 ish.
