I accidentally left he key in the ignition overnight....Went out to start it this morning and it was dead.....nothing, nada, zip. So, when I get home this afternoon, what's the best way to bring it back to life? Jump it from my truck and then ride it around for 20 minutes or so? Bump start it? ?? ? thanks.

Eh... no.

Unless you want the possibility of ruining your electrics $$$ battery, don't jump it. (I guess you CAN jump it, as stated below, but I've occationally had issues with 12 vs smaller batteries) Buy a cheap trickle charger for 30 bucks and charge the battery. You'll be glad you did. Otherwise, Id say bump it, but I'm unsure how that works with electronic ignitions...

you can jump it off your truck, just make sure the truck isn't running.

Just so you know, you can indeeed jump it, but once you do then your alternator will be left trying to charge a dead battery. It wont like it.
charge tha battery first, in all vehicles except really old ones with a generator

BEEN THERE - about a month or two ago - I got a friend to help me push start it ( on pretty flat ground) and then I took an hour ride to charge up the battery- she's been fine since- no problems starting her up at all. Just make sure that the first time you turn it off your at the top of a hill :-D Good luck!

How'd you jump start it, with the key and ignition on and in 2nd gear?

No. Same as you would if your battery was charged. Just be careful, and as Sweat said, make sure your truck isn't running. After your bike starts, disconnect jumper cables.

Were you intending to type "Bump Start"??

Is the procedure for bump starting a bike the same as in a car, more or less? I'd assume that you need to be pretty balanced for that first kick when you dump the clutch.
