Hi to all -

I just received a set of rubber tank pads for Fathers Day - Just what I hinted at for two months!

Question is: What is the best way to install? What is the best adhesive? 3M something or other? I appreciate any help. Thanks to all!

You should have an adhesive film on the inside covered by a thick paper to protect the adhesive until you are ready to install. Then just press it on the tank.

The tricky part is to get both sides in the same position. I had to pull one side off and reposition despite numerous measurements beforehand. I wouldn't advise doing that too often. I think the sticky stuff deteriorates if you take off and re-apply more than once.

Even if the pads are not absolutely exact, no one compares the two sides that much. Only you will know.

Thanks RMak, sincerely appreciate it. I haven't even opened the package yet! By the way, my wife purchased these from MADSS (Motorcycle Accessory Discount Super Store).

Great service, great price ($55 vs. Triumph $65). Free shipping if ordered on Fridays!

They came in right on time as promised, etc. No complaints. At any rate, I'll put them on this Saturday. Thanks for the help.
