Put my Norman Hyde bars on tonite after dark, using my benchlight. All went easy, until I wanted to turn the banjo fitting down to relieve stress on the fitting at the new bar angle. Unfortunately there is a little projection from the MC that cleverly prevents you doing this. Not to worry, I got a hacksaw blade since its aluminum and crouching down merrily sawed it off. Then I went to the other side of the bike and found a nice deep cut in the banjo fitting as well. It doesn't leak, and now I'm not sure if I should replace the whole brake line or not.

Ouch, I had the same issue when I put my drag bars on, I just decided to live with the odd angle on the break line and not cut anything. Good luck with that. ">

The perils of working on your own bike I guess. If it don't leak why worry right? You will only have to tell your story to the most obvious admirers anyhow.

Some have replaced the brake line without a real good reason--sounds like you have a good, deep reason to replace the brake line.
