I think the ones on the speedmaster are 12.5 inch, I have a set of brand new 12 inch 'Progressives' I bought for a Sportster (spit) , would that .5 of an inch be much of a problem do you think ?

Probably would not be a problem. you could lower the fork tubes 1/2 inch also to keep the attitude the same, if you wanted. 1 inch or more difference will start to be a noticeable change, imho

I'll have to see how much clearance there is between the wheel and the rear mudguard, but yer I could lower the forks a bit if I wanted to no probs, although I couldn't see .5 of an inch being a problem on the front

I wonder how your back is going to hold up.In theory you are also shortening the wheel travel.Let us know how they ride especially on bumpy roads. :wow:

I should not be commenting actually I still got the lousy-factory worthless shocks myself.Good luck on the shocks.I am going to try the Hagon ones, one day(SOON I hope). I need another front tire. The Bridgestone BT45 has 10,000 miles and is starting to crack pretty bad.I won't buy another Bridgestone after this.At the time when I bought it I did not have the $$$ for the Metzler front tire.Like I said good luck on the shocks. :-D

I quite like venom tyres and they do white walls, I need a front but the rear is brand spanking new.
