Is there a way to dry it out without taking the whole bike apart?

My tach gets moisture on the inside of the glass when rained on too. It dries on it's own without leaving water marks so I live with it.

If it leaked in it can leak out, and doing so as a vapor is quicker. So, the hair dryer idea isn't so silly at all. Or, let it sit in the direct sunlight as much as possible.

I tried talking to my dealer about this yesterday. He was surprised, but did not sound too enthusiastic about doing anything. On the other hand, two bikes on the floor had rubber seal loose around their tachos. I am thinking it is probably cheaper just to let it be and dry out on its own as opposed to schedule a service months ahead (NYC) and go thru the hassle of convincing this guy to warranty it
Cheers,

Triumph will nor cover this under warranty - I tried.

Because cables have to enter the speedo and tacho they cannot be made 100% water tight (guaranteed).

Small traces of water get in and when you put the ignition on, the internal bulb warms up the inside and condensation forms on the colder glass. It looks worse than it is.

Apparently BMW tried to solve this in their bikes by putting little heaters in there, but it wasn't totally successful either.

Question

As my Bonnie stays outdoors for the riding season, and is used even when it rains, her Tacho also has moisture inside the glass. Does anybody know if it is possible to open up the Tacho Gauge? That way it would be possible to dry the inside and clean up the glass. Could be a good Winter-project.
