HI
JUST BOUGHT A NEW BONNIE BLACK READY FOR ITS FIRST 500 MILE SERVICE ITS BEEN PIPED DYNOJETTED AND A KN AIRFILTER AND THE FUNNEL REMOVED GOES REALLY WELL
WHAT SORT OF SPEEDS CAN YOU GET FROM EACH GEAR?
ONE NIGGLING PROBLEM IS A BUCKLED BACK WHEEL WHICH THEY SAY THEY WILL SORT ON ITS FIRST SERVICE BUT IT SEEMS TO HAVE GOT WORSE AND THE VIBRATION THROUGH THE SEAT WOULD BE UNBEARABLE ON ANYTHING OVER A 30 MILE RUN AND IT SEEMS TO ME I CAN HEAR GRINDING COMING FROM THE BACK END SOMEWHERE BUT THE DEALER SAYS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT IT WILL ALL BE SORTED ON THE FIRST SERVICE ANYBODY ELSE HAD ANY PROBLEMS OF THIS SORT AND COULD THIS BE A FORERUNNER OF SPOKE TROUBLE

I'd stay the heck off that bike until it's fixed!

Your dealer has been smoking something. DEMAND he fix the wheel! In the US if you had an accident you could sue him for gross neglect and collect enough to OWN his shop. He's not only dumb for saying that to you, he's stupid to boot.

If he won't do anything then at a minimum take it to a GOOD mechanic and have him check it out.

Stay out of the hospital. Hospital stays make pathetic vacations.

Pardon my ignorance but, what is a buckled tire?
I have a terrible image in my mind.

To me it means the wheel has a bend in it as to be obvious to the naked eye. and would cause a vibration if someone were to ride on it. and to be told to do so by a dealer is nothing less than criminal negligence

Makes you ask the question: What's the possible logic behind the assertion that a buckled wheel will sort itself out?

Much more likely to get worse rather than better IMHO.

That said, I'm envious about all the other intake / exhaust mods done from the get go. You're gonna love that setup!
