One very frustrating thing about my new Bonnie purchase is the limited aftermarket for wheels that will fit my bike. I sent an email to OnCycles about the Dymags and this is what I got in return:

"Thank you for your interest in Oncycles.com and Dymag Wheels. Unfortunately Dymag does not have a fitment for the 2006 Triumph Bonneville. Please let us know if you have any other questions."

Other than the $1900 aluminum wheels at BC, what options are there for replacement wheels? Why such a custom design so that it is almost impossible to find an alternative wheel? Is there any place you can get wheels for the Bonneville?

Thanks, Greg

You should talk to Sweatmachine and/or Rodburner. Although I don't know what wheels Rodburner used, Sweat's in the process of replacing his forks and wheels from an SV650.

You can try :

Buchanan Spoke

My co-worker is going to have them build a 17" front and rear for his thruxton. He is using stock thruxton hubs (whenever they ship from bike bandit) with accel rims.

He plans on giving me his stock alloy wheels - although I'm not sure I want an 18" front...

Here's to hoping the pro-tec brake caliper clears the 17" wheels spokes...

Rodburner is using Dymags I am near 100% certain. The Dymag site does list a fitment for the 2003 "Bonne V", not sure why they do not list a range of years cause me be pretty sure they be is all the same. The 03 ones would work, call em to be sure but if the 03 is the same as the other years .... well.....

yeah one of these days...

I'm waiting on some gaskets for my motor that I just reassembled to fix an oil leak, and I plan on diving into the SV wheel/fork swap here in the next month or so.

I'll post pics, but just as a teaser, here's a photoshopped version courtesy of Ridge.

I'm doing the swap for a few reasons:

-17'' mag wheels = no inner tubes, better tire options, easy roadside flat plugs, cool looking, etc

-dual front discs = better braking, cool factor

-upgraded suspension, the SV forks I have already have been upgraded with a traxxion dynamics cartridge kit, and should be leaps and bounds better than the bonnie forks

-but mostly cause it will look kickass. :-D

Sweat, I was wondering why you would go with the dual dics front end as opposed to upgrading the single rotor and go with a 6 piston calibur? The single is lighter and should handle much better. Great looking bike.

mostly due to cost, I bought the SV parts for less than the cost of a floating rotor w/ an upgraded caliper.

and black mags w/ dual gold discs look cool.

Pure Bull !! Dymag will make you a set like mine "classic cast magnesium",or the carbonfiber spoked wheels and if you want 17" fronts you can get any model I believe. Oncycle may be correct in that Dymag doesn`t list a 19" front except for Harleys,so I went with Thruxton size 18"

I ordered mine from the British distributor HPS. Not the greatest experience, but any port in a storm, right?

Cause it will be cool. No one has done it before, it will look kickass, better brakes, better tires, no tubes, really just read my response above...
