Here In the UK I'd never leave my documents on my bike in case they got stolen. After all you don't want anyone riding round on your bike with proof of ownership.
1. Your insurance company would want to know why the hell you had done such a fool thing.
2. It's just one more thing towards identity theft.
So I always keep em on my person in an inside pocket.
Whilst visiting Oregon,
I did however learn about opening my jacket by the lapels and showing a cop It was my documents and not a gun I was gonna remove from my inside pocket.
When he mistook my movements and held put his gun to my girls head.
"Welcome to America"
So thats worth remembering.
