A new Bonnie T100, less than 1000 miles and in addition to fuel cap problems the petcock is sticking. After sitting a few minutes petcock is difficult and sometimes impossible to turn. Doing the wiggle and jiggle will get it to work so far. Dealer is 85 miles away. I know its under warrently but if another stock petcock is just going to behave the same way replacing it seems sorta pointless. Does the stock petcock tend to have this sort of problem ?? And if so whats a good replacement ?????

Me too, and sometimes its pretty darn stiff. Almost afraid I'll break it.
The guys here seem sold on the Pringle for a refit...but it seems a shame to be forced into that mod on new bikes like ours. I want to ride not wrench, at least till the snow flies.
...Billy
ps No probs w/ the fuel cap so far...I barely snug it...NO clicks

I've had no problem with my '07. NewBonneville and others sell replacements, which other owners seem to like better.

WD40 it regularly, and it should help. Mine gets a little sticky every once in a while, but a squirt of fluid (around the "dial" face) sets it right.

Like JJ I regularly use the WD40 after it refused to turn and it is smooth as butter now.

Mine was pretty stiff right at first and still gets tight after a wash.
I agree that a little WD40 does the trick when it becomes difficult.

I haven't had any problems, but I've read that some need to loosen up the little screw at the bottom of the petcock. The lever is retained by this screw, and sometimes it can be a little tight. Just be careful not to loosen it too much.

The dealer replaced the petcock on my '05 at the 6K service. I didn't think it was a big deal, but they said it was leaking, it was covered by warranty, and they replaced it. Me: "OK." The replacement one has become stiff, and I need to try the WD40 on it.

I never had the sticking problem on mine, but I turned it on and off alot. Try the WD40 at few times to see if that helps. I replaced mine this spring when I discovered that it was leaking when supposedly turned "off." I only discovered it because I had the tank off several times and noticed it then. Was it leaking all winter when I thought I had emptied my float bowls? Probably, but my float valves worked so the fuel was shut off by that. Not wanting to spend $100+ on an OEM petcock, I ordered the Pingel from Bella Corse for $75. I think you have less reserve, maybe 15 miles, with the Pingel due to how it's constructed, but it is made nicely. There are other models of Pingels available from NewBonneville.com, but the one from Bella Corse does not require filing the hole in the tank. If you do install a Pingel, let the Hylomar gasket sealant set-up for 24 hours before filling with gas.
