Hi folks,

I have a 2001 Bonnie with TORs. I love the sound, especially after removing the airbox and putting on K&N's. Lately I have been checking out reverse cone style mufflers and I really dig the way they look.

More specifically I have been looking at the shorty Emgo reverse cones. From what I hear the price is right, I was just wondering how they sound. How does the sound compare to the Triumph TORs.

Also, where can I pick up a pair of Emgo reverse cones?

Thanks,
Jed

Emgo's are much louder then Tor's and have a deeper note IMO. They tend to cop a bit of bad publicity on this forum for being cheap and nasty. While they may not have the sound quality of Predator's they are still a good exhaust and a cheaper option. I like em alot but one day I shall have me some predators, one day!!

I got mine through J C Whitney over a year ago & I tried them with baffles, with no baffles & no cone & didn't like them in any configeration so put em back in box. Put TORS back on!
Recently installed a NARK kit with K&N's & found my induction sounds were louder than my TORS. Back to the cheap megaphones--took em apart & repacked the baffles tightly with unrolled steel wool pads(hey its what I had) & reinstalled them. I really like them now! Go Figure!
Plus I do like thier looks!

P S I should mention that I got adapters from Speialty Spares in Wa. for $32.

I also have Emgo short reverse cones and like them. I know they aren't the best but for the price they are hard to beat. I got mine off E-Bay, but you can get them just about anywhere. I recently repacked them and they sound great. They are very loud and I wear ear plugs most of the time. Unlike some mufflers that seem quiet until you get on the throttle these are loud even at idle.

Here they are new chrome.

And with some black engine paint to match ceramic coated headers.

One other thing I did was drill out the end of the baffle. The pictures are from the end with the cones removed.

Before

After
