Hi to all!

even in the glorious kingdom of Belgium the weather finally says riding again. Since my former bike got herself stolen last year, I'm very much into locking my new love as secure as possible.
Until I found this little test on the net...
I translated some of it ( red text ) perhaps some of the brands aren't for sale everywhere but all of a sudden I don't feel so well no more- thinking of superglueing myself in the seat
Grtz, Thieu
PS- I'm beginning to like U- locks...

Odd, I always thought the disk brake locks were secure. I wonder what the major weakness of them is.

Locks only stop honest or lazy people.

Exactly!
Here's a neat video that puts several "sold secure" locks to the test and most fail miserably.

Just goes to show, if they want it, they'll get it.

Guess I'll depend on people being lazy, or I'll simply make sure I always park next to a Duc 1098s...

Fair dinkum, mate?
This is Belgium, Europe....I'm over 30 ( wayyy over ),the bike is under 4, not secondhand, has an approved alarm, lives in a locked garage at night, so they grant me a full coverage in case of theft, meaning the price of the day, not what I paid for her.
Cost? Yearly a measly $2256 AU, some $1800 US. :wow:
One good thing: when the bike is 4 years old, you pay less and of course get less when it gets stolen...
insurance, my :moon:
no worries... BTW, not insured for theft :-D
