Any suggestions on how to keep the speedo cable off the brake disc when a bobbed fender without the wire bracket is added?

I`m not using a front fender at all and the cable never gets close to the disc. Its pretty rigidly mounted in the hub and stays an inch away at all times.

I have a bobbed fender with both braces gone and also have no problem with the cable.
