A very cloudy unsettled day, but I managed to mount the Airblade flyscreen between showers and then took a brief test ride. At first I had it mounted upright, i.e. with the headlight cutout in the same plane as the headlight lens. It cut the wind down alright, but created a fair bit of noise and turbulence at head height (I'm 6' 2"). Then I angled it all the way back against the speedo. Much quieter and smoother! I'll be experimenting with intermediate angles over the next while. I don't really like the look of the Bonnie with any screen mounted, but thought it would be a good idea to have something for the long trips this summer. Not a bad solution for $55. The pics below were taken with the screen angled back. It's a very dark grey, though it looks black in the overcast light.

Looks good :upthumb: interesting that adjusting the angle makes a big difference like that.

Like the Lucas style indicators too.

looks pretty good. I am thinking of one of those fly screens from the fifties that you see on the Nortons and BSA's of the era. The metal ones with the grill/mesh in them. Any body know what I am talking about. or am I just on crack.......again!

I was thinking, so he took a shower put the screen on and then took another shower :???: . But then my common sense caught up with me, you meant RAIN showers. Looks great on your bike.

Ha! Well actually, it was so warm and humid that I could have used a couple of showers during the procedure! :lollol:

Being from the arid desert of South Eastern Washington State, that's exactly where I went with it. Wasn't really sure why it was important to let us know how clean you are.

The screen looks great. I'm really curious to know how functional it is. I'm wanting to do the same thing on my Bonnie.
