Check it out...I'm cleaning the bike down this afternoon and noticed that the Oil Line (steel braided) on the left side is very close to the header?? I'm wondering if it is too close? So...without riding down to the local dealer to compare the Bonnies on the floor...I was wondering if any of you could take a peak at your Bonnie and let me know how close your oil line is. If it's too close then I'd like to adjust it...maybe I'[ll just do that>? What do you think? Anything to look out for while adjusting it? Now that I think of it, maybe I could fab a heat shield for it?

Thanks a TON in advance...

Here is mine...it's ***** near touching the header?

I'd be more concerned with the fact that it moved at all...

I checked for "play" and it's on there, it's not moving a bit...I also went through some pictures I have of that area...and it seems it has been like that since day one.

It looks a bit close, I would loosen the fastener just slightly and pry it over.

Sloppy assembly, IMHO. Mine is a little closer to the header than to the frame tube, and I would assemble it closer to the frame tube. However, mine is not close enough to bother with moving, IMHO. By the way, I would call that the right side of the engine rather than the left side. :-D

Mine is at least a quarter inch away. Probably does not matter, but now that you see it, it'll bother the hell out of you until its moved. Give in and find peace of mind!

Mine looks like a bit more than 1/4" away, enough to be safe. Now that you've given me something to worry about, I might move it over a bit.

you made me go out to the garage and look.
Mine is a good 5/8" away from the header pipe.
