So it's just about time for me to rejet for the first time. I have the '07 America, so bascally the same setup as the Speedy with 865 motor.
Fitted a beautifull set of Staintunes, pulled the top snorkel and installed the single K&N filter. AI removed and NGK Iridiums set.

I've been reading up on the jetting and checking out Pat's calculator. Recomendation is for 130 mains. If I'm not mistaken, stock = 120's.

I've also looked into the DynoJet kits, and recommendation there for stage2/3 (kinda what I've got is for 118's or 122's?
This kit however also comes with Needles, shims and springs.

What's the consensus around here? Just change the jets to 130's, or go with DynoJet kit and 122's?

Tx in advance for all comments

I have the same as Erwin, except I ordered the TBS needles-1 shim on each from the advice of one of the members here at the forum,(needles)seemed to let the midrange throttle open up quite a bit.Easy to install. Follow Pat Dinqua's carb jetting Instructions for CVK carbs ,shimming Instructions too! If it interests you. He doesn't leave much out for the question I must say. :hammer:

Saffer - Go with the 130s and forget the jet kit. there's more there than you need and expensive (IMO).

I'm a firm believer in 130/1 shim/3-1/2 turns for most any setup that includes what you mentioned. If and when you drill the airbox or freak it, then things change a bit. But for the basic pipes/snorkel removal/UNI or K&N, that jetting setup is always gonna be close. Forget the dynajet kit. I won't swear to it, but i'm pretty sure it's more a money maker for them than a real improvement over stock jets.

Saffer,

I was ready to post when I read your question, but everyone has said what I wanted to. Do what they said. You'll be happy & have saved a few bucks.
