Should I be worried? My original intent and order I placed were to have less restrictive and better sounding pipes with the stock look. I got almost stock look, but much louder pipes. Everyone tells me that the Staintunes' quality is higher than TORs, hence the price difference.
Also, so many things got messed up with that dealer and I am not sure how to approach them: my stock pipes were not given back to me, I did not get the removable bufflers with my Staintunes, got charged second time for already removed AI. Now I need to figure out how to quietly sneak out of my building in the morning without alienating my neighbours. At first I was firm and had them to agree to replace the pipes with TORS, but in the end desided to keep 'em. What do you think? I think they did a nice job tuning them though, no backfiring and nice pick up and sound while at higher rpms. Cheers.

Dude, either push it a ways before starting or just barely move the twisty thing in you're block.

keep the 'tunes.

Forget about the stock pipes, they're a dime a dozen here in the classifieds.

Good score!

Compared to many of the H-D after-market pipes, the Staintunes are whisper quiet. Lots of my neighbors complain about the noisy H-D's on the block, but so far, no one has griped at all about my Bonnie. As mj said, just stay off the throttle until you're down the street a little.

Very nice pipes....congrats! I'd stay the heck away from that dealer though.

There was a post somewhere here with the sound level comparison of different pipes. Cannot find it anymore. The "search" function does not really work that well.

Dude, as a fellow New Yorker I'd insist on the dealers supplying those removable baffles. Your neighbors, if they're anything like mine, will forever be a pain in your @$$ if they perceive you as anything like the typical HD-loud-bike-riding meathead.

Yes, 6th ave place. Now....Although I like the pipes, I did not just get them at TORs' price don't get me wrong. They've made a mistake which I saw the minute I walked by my bike and told them about it. I have REALLY mixed feelings about this place now. I do understand that this is probably the busiest delearship in this country in terms of both :sales and service. And it can adversly affect the quality of service each bike gets, since they can have work orders and parts all mixed up in a hurry.

If you already paid for the more expensive pipes why would you have a problem going back and getting the rest of your parts?
