Spent the day making a new 2into1 for my bike, since it was cold and drizzly out. Still a bit of adjustment under the engine to make, but shouldn`t take too long. :-D

left headers from Copper and 5Bassman

my collector and Sweatmachines muffler inlets

my old header piping

and one of TJRCarrillo`s Thrux cans. Overall,I`m within 4" of JimBonnie`s 63"ideal pipe length, without the muffler installed. :-D

Great Job 'Burner! You should have brought it into a 2" collector then straight back on the left side. Yowza, great job.

That was what I was going to do this morning.Probably stay with the 1-1/2" pipe though, since there`s less than a foot of pipe from the collector to the kickstand.Plus all my mufflers are stock inlet 1-1/2".

Nice work. Did you ever finish the MI:3 style pipes?

Tried. And denied. Maybe when I remove the airbox,I`ll try again.I`ve got a pile of wiring behind the side covers from the headlight removal project and didn`t want to burn up another set of sidecovers or another pair of boots. :-D I hope to build a new "inline" battery box so the covers could be removed and the pipes run inside the frame rails at that point for an underseat exhaust, with the pipes curved at the end to function as a rear fender.Maybe then I could get rid of that hideous Corbin hump. I`ve already started on a new solo seat to replace it.

Steve - cool stuff as always - I like the first version better, not sure why, but either one is cool... take that, Zard.

I like the can I like & would enjoy hearing the beast run...

I've been a busy boy this weekend, too... three days alone with any Bonneville
within reach... anything can happen... :-D

Keep up the good work!

Cheers,

D9
