I just finished building a seat cushion in preparation for the big ride this summer. the end result is a seat height about 2 inches higher and wow. first I never really expected it to impact much with regards to my feet touching the ground but it sure did. i guess i got wee little legs. second what a commanding view - really I felt so much higher it was quite strange. I had to adjust my mirrors a whole bunch. and even the angle viewing the clocks was different. But third and most exciting was the change in handling - kinda like lowering the bars . it felt more tight the stock. way to go me! :chug: : :moon:

Did you use the stock cover?

Could you post a pic of your new seat?

i did not modify the orginal seat but rather this a full sized pad the length of the seat that I velcro'd (hook and loop) onto the bike frame just under the seat. i made it from plastic leather, foam, strings and for the top surface a black short haired lambskin. photos to follow.

It's as tall as the modern Tiger, but with only 2 cylinders for the first time since the 70s!
:-D

Quite a feeling, though, isn't it.
