Greetings et-al,
I am the *EXTREMELY* proud owner of a 2006 speedmaster. Was going for an America until the dealer made me an offer I could not refuse.

Has 9k on the clock and worked America pillion seat + sissy into the deal.

Pipes are v.nice - slash cuts with a nice sound. - Although I suspect they are not contaminated with much in the way of baffling.

Traded a 2004 HD Ultra classic that I just could not get into for the new beast.

see Picture LINK
for a picture (prior to mod - I also swapped the tank for a red on black).

Am loving this bike like you would not believe - using Botox daily to get the grin off the chops!

Other boring stuff.

Name is STan (Gifford). qualify (just) as senior member of ulysses. Married (27 years to Joan), 3 daughters - eldest rides a Virago and youngest (12) sits on the back of my bike.

All the best for now!

Stan

Congrats! You have one of the black and fast ones like mine. I liked it right from the get go. Black looks good on bike.Enjoy! Be careful it'll grab up the road! :-D My bad,you swapped the tank ,no matter ,they are still a bad-ss bike!

welcome to the club Stan. Just ask any questions you want cos this site andthis one are both fantastic places for finding out stuff about our bikes. The people are all very helpful to each other and one day if you use the site's as I do, you will try and help others in return. BTW, we are always interested in what other blokes do to their americas or speedies so sharing this and other info is what it's all about. Also great you are loving your bike and interesting you traded a Harley which says a lot to someone who's never had or wanted one. In other words, further endorses our bikes as being THE BIKES :-D

Thanx for the welcome guys.

In original post I mentioned a 2004 Ultra Classic - it is actually 1994 (only ten years out!).

Secondly - I have just found out my Sissy is in the shop - so I feel a non-fatal attack of something coming on (It is 12 midday here).

Having got the sissy - and fitted it, phase 1 of phases 1 to 300 are now complete. (A little chrome will be added in later phases!)

I have updated my album with the piccies as she looks now!

see Stans Photo's

The bag on the sissy is a neat one I picked up a coupla of years ago. The velcro straps wrap around the sissy and underneath there are straps that hook to the rack. Very handy for keeping.....

Clear sunnies.
Tinted sunnies

(I wear open face helmet)

Wet weather gear.
Visor for open face - for when it rains, cause rain at 110 km *HURTS*

DIsk lock and reminder - which I am scared to use ....

Honkingly strong cable to tie bike to imovable object.

In a coupla of hours a mate is coming over for ...

1. a drool (his words)
2. A liddle ride - him on his ultra - we will probably go down to wisemans ferry and come back the back way thru Maraylia

(Anyone who can get to my house by 11-11:30 is welcome)

Hey Stan
Enjoy your Speedy. Must go for a ride to wisemans soon, Has a few bends after the ferry trip from memory. Watch out for the modifications bug, it grabs you. I have a Speedy as well and cant help thinking what do I tinker with next.
All the best
Derek

:upthumb: Nice looking bike !
America or Speedy - its all the same here.. one big happy family.

Your gonna love this site.
Will take u days (and nights when u cant sleep) to go thru the mass of previous posts.
I you have a question - its probably been ask and answered a couple of times!!
Ive been reading for quite a while and I'm still finding stuff I didn't even know I needed to know ... (? what ?)
And - If you cant find it - these guys don't make u feel like a dumba*# it you ask again. :jest:

Better start a Speedy Savings account for all the mods and additions your gonna want to do.
My wife said I have to spend at least as much time with her as I do out in the garage working on my America (Black/Silver - lots of chrome ..ahhh yes). Good thing is I can spend it with her while we ride !!!
:hihi:
Hint: start with the led upgrade on the dash lights !!
cheap, quick, easy, and one of the best mods u will do...
Welcome
