I finally removed the restrictor plate from the airbox. Was pretty simple thanks to the instructions by Keef in the wiki.
Went for a ride and the bike seems to be running lean now so will order some 128 and 130 mains.

I wasn't able to get one screw back into the airbox, the one that sits up quite high sort of parallel with the fender. My hands just wont't fit in there. How do you get it back in without removing the airbox??

How did you get it out?

Reverse the process.. locking pliers work well.

I am with the commando, seems that last little***** wasn't all that important anyhow. Never realized any leakage, only ran it for about a month before ARKing it though. After removing the airbox I realized the right answer would have been to remove the airbox to do the restrictor plate elim as it just ain't that difficult once you get the bike lift, lift the bike remove the shocks and fender.

Yeah I'll probably just leave that screw as it is my intention to hack the airbox next once I have some free time.

Cheers

Okay, I feel really stupid.

I have tried to get to the wiki site to view keef's post on removing the restrictor plate.

I get to the listing and double click on the link and I can never actually get to the instructions.

What am I doing wrong??

Have you got a login for the wiki. It's a different login then for the forums here. Not sure of this is your problem.

This LINK should take you to the twins mod page. Not sure about the separate login, may have to set something up there before you can view.
