did everything per dinqua.had to turn the carbs 180 degrees and set on a bar stool to get good access to bowl.he said be careful with twisting.he also mentioned something about the idle speed location?(wait a minute that was in the shop manual I think)right now I'm trying to get it lined up...intake rubbers/airbox @#$%$#@ needed to take a break.

Thanks.I got it. It was difficult to line up the rear of the airbox (8mm)cap screws underneath fender and rubber intakes, 3 things at once, that rubber wanted to fold on me. Continuing.........

I know that's right G. Put130 mains ,left the pilots at 40, installed the needles. Actually I started out to fix my light bar, blew a fuse. Had to remove the tank to rundown short,(dumping it last week didn't help)so I just decided to do it....all.It runs like a raped ape.RPM's were a little low at idle, not much.I must have bumped it. It doesn't appear to be starving for gas or any overwhelming gas fumes nor does it hesitate opening up the throttle,or sound or feel like it's drowning on acceleration.call it done? What are other clues that it might be running to lean or rich for that matter, just for the record,is there something I may be missing ?(besides brain cells!) I did find the short, learned a good lesson, pinned some wiring, bad mistake. 8-) suns so bright I gotta wear shades.

Maybe a little early on celebration yet. Have some start-up/warm up Idle issues. RPM's down a little.(Brought back up) This may sound ridiculous but I'm still running last years plugs, they have some carbon fouling -(scant) Ground and electrode intact. Before I tweak the Air/ mixture screws should I get a new set? :???: 05/22/07 went ahead and picked up stock(2)sets ; a set of steel & a set of Irridium. I'm thinking as long as I have some carbon build and they are not white from high heat that possibly ,I don't have a lean condition going on.In general ,Low Idle RPM's are run from the battery is that correct? I had 35w bulbs in light kit,one blew, picked up a set of 55w that's all they had. Maybe check battery levels?
