I just read the 2-page 2007 SM review in the June issue of Motorcyclist magazine (see page 56 & 57)...reviewer gave it 4 out of 5 stars...it missed 1 star due to lack of engine grunt, but I bet if the stock 18T countersprocket was replaced with the 17T, it would have garnered a full 5 stars easily. Everything else about the bike was aces.

The crash pictures and stories in that issue of Motorcyclist are great!
