I'm considering buying a new T-100. But the Triumph "off road" pipe (at $500 big ones!) doesn't sound much better than stock. What's the best aftermarket pea shooter type mufflers for the Bonnie?

Peashooter.....Norman Hyde Togas are top notch and sound great. If you want LOUD, D&D reverse cone megaphones. I've had both......Good luck

$1000.00! If I had that kind of money to spend on mufflers I still wouldn't.

$1000.00! ...I hope your mistaken on the price but I don't know where you got a price of $1000.00 for Staintunes but if that is Aussie dollars then $1000 aussie dollars converts to $850.00 United States dollars...I bought a new set of Staintunes and I like them alot...stainless, perfect welds and fit and mellow sound at idle and just the right bark when gassing it...never need a rebuild or repack straight through and I paid $750.00 U.S. for mine last year so it should be in that 750-850 range now I believe...the Staintune web site posts Austrailian dollars not U.S. search the web for a deal...or a used set...Alot of the guys like preditors and there are other stainless steel pipe builders which is what I would recommed over steel in the long run...if you don't plan on keeping your bike and just want noise get something less $$ but I have ne regret on Stainintune pipes...

WELL I checked...motorsportsnetwork has the staiintunes listed for $899.00 U.S. so they have gone up... that was the best price I could find for you on a quick search and that was where I bought mine last year...
shop around something nice will turn up...

I thought the TORs sounded completely different to the stock. My TORs sound great, very barky and plenty loud enogugh keeping the neighbour off my back.

JUST ASKING (so don't flame me)

How do they justify that kind of price on some metal tubes? :???: :knkknk:

I'll field this one:

Because they're not just "metal tubes". A considerable amount of time and effort goes into making the metal tubes fit our bikes properly, function properly, sound good and look good.

All this done by (usually) highly skilled folks who have a powerful need to eat, care for their families and maybe, someday, be able to buy Triumphs themselves.

personally, I think the predators are a very close if not tie with staintunes, they aren't rivited like D&D's they are smooth, stainless and a fair amount cheaper. Now they are louder but then again, I think they have better performance from what I've heard. Good luck on the desicion
