Is there a replacement chain for a Speedmaster that is much better than the OEM that comes with the bike from the factory?

I tried to find the same thing when i replaced mine. From what i gathered the stock chain which is a DID X-ring is supposedly as good as it gets. There is one other that shows it's strength rating as higher, but what i read was that that is not a true indicator of real life quality. Anyways, if i recall it was made by RK. Not sure tho.

No problems at all.

Is your chain about shot? Are you adjusting it a lot? My first one lasted I believe 17,000 miles.I've talked to others that got more.Compared to years ago this is really good. I use to have to adjust my old chains every week.I think I went like six months on this bike before adjusting it,and I do ride it to work six days aweek most the time.I guess you could fork out the bucks and get the belt drive set up if you don't want the hassle of the chain. :hammer:

I got a gold chain from newspeedmaster.com It is a DID chain. I used a clip masterlink and remove the chain to clean and lube it. I have found that soaking the chain in motor oil will keep the chain both wet and clean for a long time. Regular chain lube is too sticky and I believe it causes more harm than good.
