Bonneville vs Thruxton Mufflers - Dumb question I'm sure, but are they straight swaps? Meaning can you install a set of Bonnie aftermarkets onto a Thrux?

Thanks!

Not a bad question, just a tough one. Some people here have installed Thrux cans on Bonnie pipes with a little effort. Some people can`t get them to work at all. I have Thrux cans on my bike, but don`t have any factory mounting points to hinder me. If you are persistant and creative, anything can be made to fit anything.I know,no help at all.

I put an entire thrux system on my T100 with no issues, you maybe able to run the mufflers with one of the adapters such as bella corse sells. The BUB system will work on either bike - thats pipes and mufflers.

As I understand it the issue is that the kink in the header is different between the Thrux and Bonnie. So if you bought a Bonnie slipon and slippedit on your Thrux the mounting tab would not line up to your passenger peg bolt. If you found a cheap set of Bonnie cans you could perhaps fab a bracket to makeit work.

Great info, thanks!

I just didn't know if it was a major issue with the header bends or a simple bracket issue. Fabbing brackets are no problem, but buying a set of headers is.

THANKS!
