I didn't feel like rifling thru looking for a thread on Bonnie horns so... A safe bet would be the OEM horn on a Bonnie is generally considered a POC. Is the NewBonnieville.com horn a decent replacement? Look forward to your responses.

The Stebel horn is really good. Don't try to put it under the tank where the AI went unless you want to crush the heat shield. You're looking for a horn in the 465-500 Mhz range if you want the full Buick sound. Fiamm highway blaster is good also. Don't go above 5 amps without a relay. You may want to rearrange the placement of the horn to get it up as far as possible.

the NB horn sounds good and so on, but doesn't really fit anywhere, I've found...so not much use

Unless I can get a semi horn that will look good, I got the loudest- best looking horn from Kirk. Not a whole lot louder than stock, but looks a whole lot nicer! Some day w/ all this new tech (electronic wise) some one will come up w/ a horn thatsome one can REALLY hear! Till then? :???:

+1 for the Fiamm. A short blast got immediate attention. Had them on my last two bikes and miss them now.

DrPat, I just last week mounted the NewBonneville horn under the tank where the AI was. I used the slightly offset bracket from the Fiamm freeway blaster, which was a bit too wide with respect to the tank insulation. A bracket could also be made from a piece of aluminum.

The NewBonneville horn will fit in the AI location under the tank with some fiddling around and test positioning, and the correct bracket. I managed to get the open part of the horn facing mostly forward (and slightly down) for best sound effect, the wire reaches it without further aggravation, and it's definitely louder than the stock horn. Still not tremendously loud, but an improvement.

I might put the leftover freeway blaster in the Honda Civic, which could also use a horn upgrade.

Scream. That adds 100 decibels to the 90 of the stock horn.

Yep, I got the horn from nb. Didnt quite fit at first but was able to modify the bracket slightly and mount it where the original horn mounts. It didn't hit the fender either. :upthumb:

I put pair of high/low fiamms on a cross bar I made for the original horn tab/reflector stud. I put the relay where the OEM horn mounts to the tab.
Sounds like a Buick only LOUDER.
