Engines will make noise. Is it on the side stand when you hear it? Stay calm and ride the bike following break in proceedures and all will be fine. Do NOT fit any pipes until after your break in maintainance.

if you dont hear noises at idle better hit starter button it must of cut off lol.best cure is to rev it up at all stop lights unless theres a cop next to you.try to keep rpms at 7500 as much as you can that way you will be to scared to hear engine noises.

You should hear the noise the old Triumphs make, I listen to the 3 I have and they scare me. They all have unrestricted exhaust and I still hear the clink, clunk tick whatever plus the sound of an open belt drive
fun fun fun

as a green noobie to the air cooled twin - i went more than a bit wobbly over the noises, only to be reassured by the cool heads on this forum that all was ok.

had the 10k service today, and the mechanic said it was one of the quiter bonnies he sees, thats even with the obligatory 'shaken can o' bolts' noises coming from the under tank area. now i just concentrate on the staintunes note whilst keeping the knees pressed against the tank to block the sound. but seriously, the noises are becoming more familiar and sound reassuring and distinctive now.........almost.....
:-D Mate,stick ya ear plugs in !!! :-D
