My speedy had 3750 miles and I was getting ready to ride to Saint Louis and Mississippi so I changed my own oil. I used parts from the dealer($71.00). So am I still under warrenty?

Yup, but keep your receipts and note on them when and at how many miles you did the work. Then put them in a safe place until your warranty period runs out.

My dealer told me it was OK for me to change my own oil. He just said that if I did something stupid, like not put oil back in the bike before starting it, they would void the warranty.

I was told to keep the receipts and record the oil change in the manual. They also said I had to use synthetic oil. Since I will only use Mobile 1 and I purchase it from the dealer, there's no problem there.

You changed your oil yourself?????? I checked the air pressure in my Speedy and told my dealer and he cancelled my warranty on the spot!! He said I didn't use special Triumph air imported from the UK!! I guess the air over in England is cleaner than the air in the USA so in the future, when I buy a new Triumph and want to keep the warranty, he said I can purchase a tank of UK air for $159.95 plus shipping and it won't void the warranty. :hammer: :???:

Maintenance work on your bike can be done anywhere by anyone and it will not void the warranty. Mistakes are not covered under warranty
