okay, so at least 3 weeks ago i swap my stock hinkley bars (which i always hated) with black flanders knucklebars that i have had around the shop. way nice. wide flattracker style with a nice bend.

but it was a stretch (pun intended) to get the throttle cables to fit. they did, with bellcourse offering advice on rerouting them. thanks!

but at that time, i also ordered a black 2" longer brake cable. telling him i needed it so i could ride on may 12th. it didnt come the week it was suppose to. i called and was told their supplier sent the wrong thing, and i could have the right one by may10th. well that didnt happen, and bellacourse hasnt answered the phone the last 3 days!!

so i call 2 semi local triumph dealers hoping a speedmaster brake line would fit. no one knew, and both said they dont stock brake lines!!!!! can anyone beleive this? thats outrageous! i never have this problem with harley-davidsons, especially on a current model. its not that they were out of out of them, THEY DONT STOCK THEM!!!!!

THIS SUCKS!!!!!

Your black +2" hose was shipped earlier this week via Priority Mail.

Sure enough, my supplier shipped the wrong brake hose first time around. They messed-up another order this week too. Must be a new guy working shipping & receiving. :???:

And I'm sorry about being incommunicato... I've been in & out of the office for the last week.

/Mike

Many dealers stock as little as they can. I am usually surprised when my dealer has anything in stock besides sparks, oil filter, oil, and an oil plug gasket. That's the way it was with my Yamaha dealer also. They either cannot or will not put out the money up front to just have the stock sitting on the shelves. Most Triumph dealers also carry other brands. Imagine carrying brake hoses for every late model bike for every brand they sell? For all but the largest shops and/or those that have an active website, it's not economically feasible. I order many Triumph parts from BikeBandit because, especially with the AMA discount, they are often considerably lower than my dealer. Even with BB, I usually have to wait for them to get the part from Triumph before they send it out to me. The difference is that they are ordering from Triumph daily, while my dealer orders when he gets over a minimum, say $125. So if I just need a few inexpensive things, I may wait awhile before the order is even placed. My old Yamaha dealer ordered once a week, on Tuesday. If you came in desperate for a brake line on Wednesday, you waited until the next Tuesday for them to even order it from Yamaha.
So the world goes.
