Otherwise...I would be dead already. Whatever happened today to the people of NYC. Traffic everywhere more than I have ever seen, people behaving as real idiots, more than usually. It felt like I was in the third world country. I am having a cigar now on my balcony and contemplating my ride for tomorrow. Cheers.

I remember sitting at a table in my bedroom when I first heard that song. I was listening with a '7 Transitor Portable Radio' while gluing together a model of a Gemini spacecraft.
For some reason, I remember the moment.

I drove a cab in the city in the early 70's ... its never been a sane place to ride.

I love this city but sometimes it gets under my skin. Its been two days in a row already. What is it? Star alignment, global warming, lunar activity? :???: Installed my pedestrian slicer today and took her for a spin up and down Belt Parkway. There is a stretch of the road between exit 1 and 2 that if there is no cops, you can go pretty fast for a minute or two. :-D Beautiful views of New York City bay area and Verazzano Bridge

Cool cat looking for a kitty....that's one of the most under rated lines in a song I reckon. Went to Melbourne last week (a big city compared to where I live). Went to the Triumph dealer in the CBD, one block away some dude got hit by a car and there was a pool of blood sitting there. This image has stayed with me all weekend. Cars, bikes and people don't necessarily mix. I applaud you for listening to your inner self and not riding if you don't feel you'll make it. If more people did this maybe the m/c deaths stats wouldn't be so bad. Ride safe dude and remember always wear clean underwear.

I lived in Brooklyn for 13 years and finally left 2 years ago. I moved to Southern California and am lucky enough to have wound up in Malibu. I ride mainly on the twisties of Mulholland Hiway and the canyon roads, PCH etc. I cannot conceive of riding a bike in NYC—it never occured to me quite honestly. When (on the rare occasion) I would see someone parking a motorcycle, it seemed surreal actually. NY is a bad place to walk—let alone drive.
