To say the least, it's sad and pathetic  I rode my 3 week old Bonneville to work the other day, and it's parked closely alongside the building, next to a co worker's Harley........he even places a construction style barricade on the front side and 2 pylons in front of the tires, so motorists see this and know not to get that far over to the shoulder and hit our bikes. You think that would do the trick? We always have.........
Tuesdays we have a substitute mail carrier, and what does that stupid incompetent son of a ***** do........he hits the barricade, it falls and hits my fender........so I go off on him and ask him how he could be so stupid, etc.....and his remark was "Oh it just hit the tire" I was so mad all I could tell him to do is be gone or he gets his ass kicked.......I reported him to the postmaster in our area, and later cooled off and had a friend at a body shop buff it.........thankfully it cleaned up fine, but still, wow.......I was really sweating that one since it was still so new, I just wasn;t ready to deal with that :???:

I think you need to chill out!
Its just a bike, and if you are a biker, it will get bugs, rain, rust, dents and scratches, fall over, etc.
Its not a museum piece, or even an expensive bike.

Aw come on bgaz, some idiot pulled a dirty one on his bike. Most of us would go postal if we saw that. I would, especially if I had gone to that much trouble to make it clear to stay away.

I guess we all need to carry around baricades, traffic cones, a cop to direct traffic and a body shop guy to keep the bike clean where ever we park. Or to save time I guess just leave the bike at home in the garage.
Sorry I would also be upset if mine got hit but to go postal is a bit overboard. The Post office has insurance - you have insurance (I hope) to cover any damage. Besides it is better to just get the first scratch out of the way with a minor one so all the rest seem so much less tramatic.
Glad it was OK after a little TLC
