Other Motorcycle: Also like Ducati S2R 1000
Extra Motorcycle: Would like Street Triple
I find if you use "RainX" on your shield they come off more easily.

Better on the shield than in your eyes.

IMO

You can buy a face shield equipped to hold tear-offs like racers wear, if one is available for you helmet. You can alway clean your shield with a good cleaner, use RainX etc, so fewer bugs stick and those that do come off more easily when you clean the shield. You can carry a clean soft cloth and some cleaner and stop frequently to clean you helmet. Mostly, it's just part of the deal.

A huge 'barn door' of a windshield may keep the bugs & bees at bay.......

otherwise, I carry a small spray bottle of 'Brillianize' (from TAP Plastics) in my pocket, and a textured microfiber cloth. Quick & easy, clean face shield, and look'n good!

It's true! Check out the carnage on my old Parabellum.

By the way, Aerostich sells a little handlebar-mounted sponge holder for wiping off visors. It looks pretty neat. They probably have it somewhere on their website.

OD6, Everyone has their answer. Here is mine. I use Lemon Pledge. Cheap, softens the bugs and polishes the plastic. No scratches.

Orpheus, can't see many bugs on the sportshield but your bike sure looks good! Thanks for the photo.

Try wrapping an old t-shirt around your face shield and tossing it in the wash once you're done.

Actually, I've started saving all my scraped off bug guts. Last year I went to a strange little place in Spruce Pine, NC called Tarheel Mica Company, to buy some sheet mica for a project. While walking through the factory, I noticed some 4' x4' pallets of 1/4" thick amber-colored mica and asked the fella helping me what they were. He said they were sheets for the mica lamp companies, specialty places that make $800 table lamps and such. Being somewhat techy, I asked this very serious fella how they managed to laminate the thin sheets of mica to such a thickness--what glue etc? "Bug guts," he replied, completely straight-faced. Turns out some bug guts are great adhesives and natural colorants. :???:
