Picked up my new 2007 Bonneville T100 today from Carolina Triumph in Greensboro. LOVE THE BIKE. Its everything I had hoped for and more. Remember I just came off three years on a Honda ST1300 and was still amazed at how smooth this twin is and how well it does on the interstate. I was dreading the 85 mile ride home on I-85 but day was perfect . Cloudy, cool and low traffic. I varied the throttle and stopped several times to let her cool a bit.

One bit of strangeness. When I arrived at the dealer I discovered they had installed TORs on the bike. Guess I could have had them for free but sorry, just a bit too loud for me and my neighbors (I go to work at 5:30AM) so had to wait while they reinstalled the stock mufflers. Stock mufflers , too quiet. TORs, too loud. Gonna have to find a compromise.
One thing. Coming off a big , watercooled v-4 with a lot of bodywork this Bonnie twin sure puts out a LOT of various mechanical engine noises. Gonna take me a while to get used to it. But as I said, LOVE the bike. Anyone in Charlotte area wann go for a ride ??????

congrats. I think you're the first person I've read that said the TORs were too loud. Most are disappointed they are so quiet!

Enjoy! The mechanical noises are like a symphony.

I hope they re-installed the OEM jets as well as the pipes, assuming of course that they changed them out to begin with.

Wow, I've never heard anyone say the TOR's were too loud.

Congrats on the bike!

I have heard that several times, it seams that some TOR's
that have come out of Triumph are vary much louder, then others.

I just got an 06 that I rode for a week before the TOR's were installed..... one of the hottest things my fiancee said to me after following me home from the dealer was "your right, it's just too quiet and sounds like a scooter"...... the TOR's are absolutely perfect and give her a throaty growl that sounds as cool as she looks and reminds me of my old 72 Daytona 500 without being obnoxiously loud......

Have fun, the mechanical noises are like music to one's ears. (imagine's tccox's reaction if the dealer had installed NH Togas :-D :-D :-D )

Congrats on your new bike!! Can you post pictures or tell us the color?
On a side note, I just did an airbox removal & found my induction system made more noise than my TORS so I put my cheap megaphones on again for a while!

Congrats on the bike!

I'm flying down to RDU this afternoon, can I have your TORs since you don't want them?
