Maybe I should say nothing and keep my shame hidden, but I feel that I have just removed my Learners Plates from my Bonnie Black.
Maybe it was because it is the first bike I have owned with no tacho, that is my excuse.
"The engine will tell you when to change gears" I was told.
So I have been riding around changing when the engine 'sounded' like it wanted to, and quite enjoying the ride. To improve things I removed the AI, restrictor plate and snorkel and added some after market silencers. Also added and King Queen seat and Napoleon bar end mirrors.
Then I followed the thread on 'letting it rev', I went out and gave it a try.
The engine hadn't been telling me to change, it was telling me to do it right.......WOW.......a beast was waiting to be released.
BTW before the Bonnie, I never owned a spanner. The time and effort of people putting 'howto's' for the rest of us is very much appreciated.
