Has anyone had experience with Nolan helmets, specifically the NC30? I rather like the rounder Cromwell or Davida style but with a face shield as well. The Nolan line, full face helmets too, look cool, and my 12 year old HJC is funkified.

My wife and I both got the Nolan 102N Com. I really wanted the positionable sunshade since I wear glasses and can't keep track of glasses and sunglasses without losing one. As a bonus the dealer threw in the intercom system. The flip up modular system is also a big plus to me. I like to be able to flip it up to talk to someone or at a quick fuel stop.
The fit is great and altho I haven't ridden in real warm weather yet the venting keeps it very comfortable.
My wife has a hard time finding a helmet that fits her right and first time she tried hers on at the store she didn't want to try anything else

I have the Nolan X-Lite X-1002 and it's a bit tight in the cheeks (on my face). I got a large, and I wear a 7 3/8 hat. The ventilation doesn't do a whole lot, it seems. And it's noisy.
That said, I really like the flip-up face shield (I wear glasses), and the sun shield visor is outstanding! It comes down enough to block any sun in your face, but allows clear viewing of the instruments - and can be flipped up at sunset, and it'll stay up even at cruising speed.
Overall, I'd give it a 6 on a 1 to 10 scale. It would be a great helmet if it were quieter...

I'm on my second Nolan (I think the model is N100). Sure, an Arai or other high end helmet is better than these $200+ helmets, but I'm happy with mine.

I switched from a Fulmer modular (heavy and noisy) to the Noland N102. Love it. Especially the sun shade. Venting is so-so could be improved. Anti-fog feature is great. It is lighter and much quieter :-D Like the Microlock feature instead of the D rings, because of my arthritic fingers

I bought a Nolan N30 for the wife. It seems like a decent helmet, especially for ~$130. I like the look of those.
Note: the ones with the white stripes - the stripes aren't white; they're glow-in-the-dark greenish-yellow tinged white.
Also have a Cruise Outlaw. Very nice albeit a bit mushroom-heady.

I really like the looks of the N30 but does anyone know if any MC shops in North Carolina carry Nolan Helmets? I would like to have my wife try one on before I buy one.
Thanks,
Primo

I like my new Nolan N102 better than my HJC CL-Max, and the sunshield is great--I wear glasses and switching back and forth is a nuisance.
I bought the Nolan on internet, on clearance--no returns--so it was a gamble on size and fit, but it fits well and I'm happy with it. Good price too.
