One key for me .... no keyring or keychain ... no other keys attached to my bike key. There is a spare key elsewhere on the bike, just in case. Also a blank check and a $10 bill, also just in case. With gas at $3++ a gallon, maybe I need to change that to a $20.

One of the very first things I did, as a new Bonne owner was to loose my key. That was because I didn't want to sxcratch the paint with a fob. The third thing (second was a spare key in my wallet) was to get one of those coiled bracelet key rings that you sometimes see school girls use to keep keys on. It is very visible should the key get lost, and in 17,000 miles hasn't scratched yet.

I searched high and low for a bi-fold leather keyholder that would snap around the forklock key while riding....then I remembered that my daughter's car keyset had exactly what I was looking for. She has a 1995 BMW 318i. I went to our local BMW car dealership, told the parts guy what I was looking for. He dug one out of his desk and said "...just give us $5 for our coffee fund". It works perfectly, and there is only a very tiny BMW logo on the key snap that you would never notice. The leather keeps the other key from whipping around in the wind, and prevents wear on the paint job.
