I did a search and couldn't find the answer to this one, so, sorry, but...

How do I get the rear side reflectors off my bonnie? They aren't secured by any bolts that I can see, like the front ones.

Thanks,

Andrew

These reflectors are secured with double-sided tape. Just take one end and start easing it up. With a bit of effort, they will lift off. If there is any tape residue, wipe it off with some Goof-Off or some other sort of mild solvent. You'll never know it was ever there...

I used a bit of dental floss to saw through the tape and hardly any of the sticky stuff was left behind. I think it helped that I did it outside in the summer after they were good and warmed up. I was surprised how easy they came off.

*****, I need some more advice.

I did it, and I think it definitely looks better without the reflectors, but there is a small chip in the paint, now. I'm not sure how it happened. I heated the area with a blow dryer for about 3 minutes, then gently used the floss sawing method. Thought all was fine, but alas, there is a small chip now.

Any ideas? Can I take this to a shop somewhere and have them fix it? Or is there something I can do myself?

You could always cover up the chip by gluing a reflector over it!!!! :-D

or just use a dab of touch up paint on the chip.

If your dealer doesn't do touch-up paint (like my local dealer), it's available from Bike Bandit.

Warm em up with a hair dyer to weaken the glue.

+1
I did this and they almost feel off. WD-40 will easily remove the glue residue.
