Most machines have one or two, making these fasteners the most commonly screwed up by home and professional mechanics everywhere.

I've heard the timing chain upper sprocket bolt is reverse thread. Sweatmachine, care to confirm or dis-confirm this?

Anyone know of any others on our Triumph twins?

Mine is not reverse thread, but the design has varied through the years so it's possible.

Also, as far as I've been in this bike I haven't found a single one.

SOMEone mentioned a reverse-threaded something in one of these threads. I thought that it was Sweatmachine, but now he's denying it!

I remember that thread...TCB said his thruxton had a reverse thread in that cam chain gear bolt, and I thought mine did too but I checked it again and it is a normal thread.

Calvins got it. the chain adjusters are the only reverse threads I've found on it so far

I have three vehicles with RH thread lug nuts on one side and LH on the other. One was built in the 50's, one in the 60's ,and one is a 2006. Can you guess what makes they are?

They were Plymouth. I used to have a roadrunner.
